Student Life

Campus Parents

Each student at WalkRight will have the opportunity to participate in the Campus Parent program. Campus Parents and Families spend time with students in one-on-one discipleship and prayer as well as provide a place for students to occasionally have a home-cooked meal and a relaxing evening off campus.

Dating

We recognize the importance of students learning to develop healthy relationships and friendships and offer many opportunities to aid students in the development of both.

Dramas

The students at WalkRight Bible Institute will have the opportunity to participate in drama productions during the year as well as work on various skits and dramatic presentations that will be used year round during camps, retreats and special events.

Dress Guidelines

In every business atmosphere there is a dress code. At WalkRight Bible Institute we want our students to be able to succeed in the ministry. In training our students at WalkRight Bible Institute we maintain a dress code of modesty and decency. Listed below are some of the general dress guidelines students will be asked to follow, however specific dress requirements can be found in the student handbook.

Men: General class and retreat attire includes collared shirts, casual slacks but no jeans. Ties are only worn for church events and formal programs.
Women: General class and retreat attire includes skirts that go below the knee (slits must also be below the knee) and nice shirts, blouses and sweaters.

Employment

Although it is allowed, due to the busyness of the seminar and activity schedule, it is not recommended that students seek employment off campus. If a student does seek employment off campus, it must be in a Christ-honoring work environment and it must not interfere with the student’s school work and ministry opportunities.

Students have the opportunity to receive tuition assistance by applying to the WalkRight Business office. A student will receive a discount on their monthly payment based on the number of hours they participate in this program. Positions and hours are determined by the availability and the need in ministry departments. A student’s typical responsibility will be an average of 30-40 hours per month allowing them to receive $1000 - $2,500 over the course of a year.

Societies

Our campus societies give students a chance to participate in many different activities including service projects, prayer groups, and quizzing.

1. Rush – At the beginning of the year, as students are finding their way around campus and meeting new people, staff sponsors are joining in the fun by encouraging students to join a society. Rush is a time of good food and a chance to jump in and start making new friends.

2. Prayer Groups – At least once a week the students in each society get together in prayer groups, spending time learning the importance and benefits of prayer as well as learning how to pray for and support each other.

3. Quiz teams – Part of the time spent at society meetings is in preparation to go head-to-head against the other societies, in our Society Bible Quizzing.

4. Service Opportunities – Each society will spend time working as a group during the different retreats on-site as well as working on service projects and outreaches in the surrounding communities.

Staff and Speaker Interaction

The staff and faculty at WalkRight Bible Institute are focused on the spiritual and educational development of the students and spend many hours each week interacting with students through activities, devotions, seminars, and chapels in order to train young men and women who desire to walk with God and serve Him. Students will have the opportunity to be exposed to some of the finest speakers in America each week.

Student Council

At the beginning of each year the student body at WalkRight Bible Institute will elect a student council. The student council is in charge of student chapels as well as a number of other functions.
