Spiritual Life

Chapel Services

Two or three times a week students will attend chapel services in which pastors, evangelists, and missionaries from all over the country will come and preach.

Church

During the first week of the school year pastors from Baptist in the area come to the school to meet students and present their ministries. Each student will then decide which church they are going to attend for the remainder of the year. All students are required to attend the scheduled services at their churches, and are held accountable for their attendance.

Conferences

Throughout the year the students at WalkRight Bible Institute will benefit from a variety of conferences such as Revivals, Soul-Winning Conferences, Youth Worker Conferences, Women Counseling Women Conferences, and Local Church conferences.

Devotional Life

Each morning time is set aside for students to spend time with God through Bible reading and prayer. The WalkRight Bible Institute has a devotional journal, guiding students through different topics practical for everyday living and serving.

Dorm Meetings

As a supplement to personal devotions students gather several nights a week for group devotions. Devotions are given by different faculty members and the students themselves. Dorm meetings are a great chance for students to encourage each other.

Ministry Opportunities

Part of the focus at WalkRight Bible Institute is to train young people to serve Christ in the ministries of their local church. With many conservative Baptist churches in our area, each having a wide range of ministries, opportunities abound for students to develop ministry experience while attending the WalkRight Bible Institute. Each fall pastors from these area churches will present their needs to the WalkRight students giving students the opportunity to serve in their church during the school year.

Ministry Practicum

As a part of the training students will receive, they will spend time actively participating in the camping ministry. During this time, students will learn different skills that will be useful in camp and church ministries and later employment. This time will total approximately 100 hours per session.

Prayer Bands

Each WalkRight Bible Institute student will join a prayer band and have the opportunity to spend time praying with other students and faculty each week.
Snow Camp

During the winter season, the students at WalkRight Bible Institute will have the opportunity to work closely the CoBeAc staff during snow camps. They have a chance to work with young people from all over the state, and will gain experience with how short, seasonal retreats are run.

Spiritual Life

The spiritual life of the students at WalkRight Bible Institute is the core focus of the staff and faculty. Every effort is made to teach students the different habits which are core in a Christian’s life. Along with church ministries and chapels, each student will participate in devotion times, prayer groups, and soul-winning.

Summer Camping

One exciting aspect of the WalkRight Bible Institute is providing our students with the opportunity to be involved in the summer ministry of Camp CoBeAc and Retreat Center. Each student will have the opportunity to work as either a counselor or operational staff throughout the summer. This experience provides students with one more way to put the training they receive throughout the year into practical use.

Summer Ministry and Internships

During the summer a few of our students will have the opportunity to take part in internships working in other churches. This program is generally reserved for students who have completed both tracks at the WalkRight Bible Institute; however exceptions are made upon staff and pastor recommendations.

Travel Ministry Groups

At WalkRight Bible Institute there are a vast number of opportunities for students to minister through music. During the first few days of each session students will have the opportunity to audition for, small ensembles, and for traveling groups. These groups, as well as the student choir, have the opportunity to minister through music in school chapels, community programs, and in various churches in Michigan and surrounding states.
